Ne Il Polmone un vecchio solo in scena sul bordo della fine. Giancarlo Ilari, attore di lunga vita artistica, intona il requiem di Anchise in una deflagrazione contemporanea che svuota l’agonia e l’orrore della vecchiaia da ogni retorica e lirismo. Dal polmone al respiro. Il polmone porta ossigeno al sangue e toglie anidride carbonica, poi la rigetta nell’aria.Un mosaico di piccole cellule, gli alveoli, poi il polmone si ferma, il respiro si ferma, l’occhio si chiude ai compagni e il domani non esiste.
Paul Wirkus, considerato tra i massimi esponenti della musica elettronica contemporanea, è nato in Polonia nel 1967 e vive a Colonia. Dal 1990 è acclamato come compositore di elettronica minimale e di improvvisazione ed ottiene prestigiosi riconoscimenti internazionali. Il suo lavoro è stato apprezzato e recensito da riviste come le inglesi “The Wire” e “Pitchfork Media”, le tedesche “DE:BUG” e “Spex” e altre. L’Album Intelletto d’Amore (Quecksilber/Staubgold) ha scalato le classifiche dei dischi consigliati dalla rivista inglese “The Wire” nel marzo del 1994. Il nuovo album solista di studio è Déformation Professionnelle (Staubgold). Ha suonato live al Festival Sonar di Barcellona, a Musique Volantes di Parigi, al c/o pop Festival di Colonia, a Les Urbaines di Lausanne, al Wien Modern di Vienna. Già ospite a Lenz Teatro per la rassegna As a Little Phoenix (2007), torna a Parma nel 2008 per presentare 4 Oscylators, composizione realizzata ad hoc per quell’edizione.

In The Lung an old man, alone on stage, is standing on the edge of the End. Giancarlo Ilari, an actor with a long artistic life, starts singing the requiem of Anchises with a deflagration that, in the same breath, takes away every rhetoric and lyricism from the agony and horror of old age. 
Paul Wirkus, considered one of the great names in contemporary electronic music, was born in Poland in 1967 and now lives in Cologne. Since 1990 he has been acclaimed as composer of electronic minimal and improvised music, receiving many international awards. His work has been positively reviewed in magazines like the English “The Wire” and “Pitchfork Media”, the German  “DE:BUG” and “Spex” and many others. The album Intelletto d’Amore (Quecksilber/Staubgold) was CD of the month on The Wire’s Soundcheck chart. His latest solo album is Déformation Professionelle (Staubgold). Wirkus has played live sets at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, at the Musiques Volantes in Paris, at the c/o pop Festival in Cologne, at Les Hurbaines of Lausanne and at the Wien Modern in Vienna. After featuring in the show As a little Phoenix (2007) at Lenz Teatro, he returned to Parma in 2008 to present 4 Oscillators, a composition created specifically for that year’s edition of the Festival.
