Episodio corale sul tema della vecchiaia. All’origine del nuovo impero una gerontogenia plurale che si riproduce di Patres in Patres. Ad un già invecchiato Enea il peso della cura senza gloria. Non sarebbe pesante diventare vecchi, è nell’ordine disordinato del mondo. Invece, per chi è in-caricato di una mission si aggiunge il peso dell’obiettivo, del risultato. Si spostano corpi, si assommano vecchiaia a vecchiaia, rughe e piaghe su pelli mollicce, andature storte a dita contorte, cervelli in default davanti ad uno scopo. Quale scopo se non vivere fino all’ultimo secondo? Fino all’ultimo respiro. Ma lo scopo è colpa dei dèi.
